What coordinate system does XyzPilot use?

XyzPilot uses a standard Cartesian coordinate system. Positive X increases to the right, positive Y increases upward. Units are millimetres.

XyzPilot uses a standard Cartesian coordinate system:

  • Positive X values increase to the right
  • Positive Y values increase upward
  • Z values represent height, depth, or machining level depending on the operation
  • All geometry is stored using X, Y, and Z coordinate values
  • For 2D geometry, Z normally remains set to 0

Units: millimetres (mm) for length, degrees for angles.
